FAIRY COTTAGE FILLING STATION FORMS NEW STRATEGIC BUSINESS ALLIANCE
Fairy Cottage Filling Station based in Laxey has agreed another strategic business alliance with
newly formed company Island Fuels Limited. This is in addition to the existing successful
longstanding mutual business relationships between Fairy Cottage Filling Station and both CPL
Petroleum and Ellan Vannin Fuels Limited.
Island Fuels Limited is owned and run by Paul Cassidy, a highly qualified and experienced oil
industry professional and Class 1 fuel tanker operative. Following a number of years with a
leading local oil company Paul has decided that the time is right to commence his own operation.
Following lengthy research into the Island’s current oil dependence and noting the change in
customer requirements and often difficult access to properties, Island Fuels has now acquired the
Island’s smallest oil tanker. This, together with the existing fleet of tankers already utilised by
Fairy Cottage Filling Station brings a great opportunity to the Island’s population who are
dependent upon oil for their home heating, business and industry requirements.
Island Fuels Limited will work in close association with Fairy Cottage Filling Station offering the
same level of unique personal service and exceptional customer care.
Andrew Smith of Fairy Cottage Filling Station commented, “This is a great opening for us to meet
the ever increasing demand for smaller deliveries, also deliveries to properties with difficult
access. When approached by Paul of Island Fuels it was a very easy decision and sensible
opportunity for us.”

strategic business alliance with such a well-known and respected company to give both Island
Fuels and its customers the best start in life.”
This Strategic Business Alliance is set to remain in place for the foreseeable future and currently has
no termination date.
